MUC Commercial Center

This Commercial Center is designed as an open, vibrant hub defined by large shaded canopies and transparent ground-level façades that encourage movement and social interaction. The patterned roof structure reinterprets Sumerian geometric motifs, filtering light in a contemporary way while creating a strong architectural identity. Deep shading, open-air circulation, and reflective flooring respond effectively to Southern Iraq’s hot climate, enhancing thermal comfort and daylight control. Integrated greenery and public plazas connect the center to campus life, making it a social and economic focal point for students and staff.
