AL-SALAM Mosque

The mosque’s architecture harmonizes warmth and purity. Yellow-brown stone cladding covers the exterior, its earthy tones connecting the structure to its surroundings, while the interior is defined by white-painted surfaces that amplify natural light. Wood accents add organic texture throughout, complementing the fractured dome’s geometric play of light and shadow. The mihrab’s five alveoli, also clad in wood, create a rhythmic focal point, and water features along the patio reflect the stone’s muted warmth.

Designed for spiritual and communal life, the complex includes a main prayer hall under the fractured dome, a condolence hall for gatherings, and private quarters for the imam. Dedicated teaching rooms support religious education. Each space is tied together by a material language that balances reverence and approachability—stone for permanence, white for serenity, and wood for human connection.
